Towards the end of 2021, God released a healing prophetic word to me, one that was both personal and for the body of Christ. God is very interested in the development of our character and nature. For Him to achieve certain mile stones in our lives requires us going on journeys with Him. I have personally been on a journey, one where I left all things familiar to me, my home, my job, my friends, my family and Country I had become acclimated too.
I had perceived for some time that God was calling me out, calling me out of the familiar, out of the systems, out of religiosity, out of the ground hog day. I knew there was more, I knew there was something bigger than me waiting for me. I haven’t reached it, yet!! But I am going after it, most of the time I don’t really know what I’m doing and just show up somewhere and God does something. I am currently in Mexico, this is a place full of unfamiliar territory, cultures, languages and food and yet, it feels like home. God has been taking me on journeys, to physical places, to meet certain people to unlock and open my heart to receive more healing. You see, when we are trapped in predictable trends and routines; it’s not often we find ourselves growing in all that God has for us. He still loves us but He has more for us, more to show us, teach us and do in us. When we find ourselves in unfamiliar territory we are more likely to be vulnerable and walk with greater sense of humility as opposed to being in your familiar surroundings.
The word God gave me last year was this, “I am inviting you to allow me to go deeper with you, to allow me to take you into the depths of your heart and soul, to go into those places where you have “swept things under the carpet”, to go into that room where you just throw everything and are not too worried about the order or what it looks like but you won’t have friends or visitors going into that room as it’s chaotic, there is so much trash. God wants to take us back to those events, those memories and experiences where the devil has tormented you and used these experiences to rob you of living life in abundance. Some of us have become prisoners of our own pasts, we have been held captive and in bondage in our own souls, our emotional being has never been healed and our hearts are crying to be healed and breath again. You see, your house is a metaphor of your heart and body. There are many rooms, some, you are comfortable with letting Jesus into, and there are others where you are more reserved. Jesus is interested in every area of your being, your life and how you go onto to live it. That one room where all the every day stuff just gets tossed into and you maybe come back to once in a blue moon to rearrange it. That one room is a room in your heart where there is hurt, pain, rejection, fear, abandonment, disrespect, loneliness, anger, bitterness, the list can go on. We leave this room unattended as it requires an action from us, it requires us to go with the Lord and deal with certain events, and memories where things took place and have left a scar, a wound in your soul, it has even possibly become a problem in your life where addictions have come in to try nullify the pain, drown out the sorrow. The action required most of the time is to FORGIVE that unpardonable sin that family member did or that close friend or whatever someone did to you.
The devil has used these afflictions to rob you, prohibit you and restrict you from stepping into all that God has for you. When we accept the invitation from God to go on this journey of deep inner healing, He goes with us, He is with us, He is the one doing the healing. He knows what you can and can not handle. He created you and He loves you too much to leave you where you are when He paid a high price with His own Blood to give you freedom and all spiritual blessings available to you and me. When we accept this invitation of deep inner healing and may even require deliverance. This process is like a double edged sword, there will be a moment of pain, as there are weeds that have to be pulled out or even cut out which are not serving or benefitting you or your future, the pain will be for but a moment, there will be tears released which will suddenly become tears of joy, a deep inner joy will burst up from the wells within you that have been clogged up. When we say yes to Jesus, we will experience a suddenly, a suddenly of being catapulted into the promise land that has been promised to us, that has been waiting for us.
Romans 8:28
28 And we know that God causes everything to work together* for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
I believe this is a season of acceleration, where we have allowed God to heal and cleanse, we will find ourselves being accelerated into the promises and purpose He has for us. It’s been a season of relocating, rearranging, cutting of soul ties with people, places and objects and jobs. There are things we have got ourselves into which may have been good, may seemed like God things but they weren’t as they lined up with our desires and tickled our ears and it wasn’t what God had planned. As we submit to His will and allow Him to have His will and way, many of us will experience “loss” but it’s really the works of the hand of God re-directing you, He knows the beginning from the end. As I’m writing this, I really get the sense He is asking us to be flexible, to be open, to be available. He knows what He is doing and how to do it. All He is asking of us is to trust Him. As we go on this journey of deep inner healing we will start to see and find that we can trust God more and more as our souls are healed and restored.
I encourage you to dive deep, dive on in, stop dipping your toes in, as you dive in, you’re diving into a new realm, a new force will kicked into action where you will no longer be striving but gliding, no longer thirsting but being quenched. Allow your heart and soul to breathe again by allowing the Lover of your soul to kiss you. The only way you will ever overcome your fears is by facing them, stop allowing the goliath of your life to keep taunting you and lets step up and be the men and women of God He is calling us to be.
