Find your Pride

I’ve been watching National Geographic’s and YouTube videos quite a lot over the last few months (Must be the South African in me longing for those African sunsets and safari drives).

I love how the Holy Spirit takes everyday events, songs, movies, books or just your everyday conversation in being with God and leaning into Him to be with Him can bring revelation.

So what I’m going to share has a double edge to it. Come join me as this revelation unravels.

I love lions, love how majestic they are, how powerful they are, how confident they are, how protective they are, how fierce they are, strategic they are and how they understand team work.

When you see a pride of lions hunting, they are strategic, not only are they strategic but the greater they are in number the more powerful they are!! When you see a lioness hunting on her own without her pride – she is limited to her food source, she is limited to what she can attack and attempt at taking down. The bigger the animal the more risk she is at at sustaining injuries that could even be life threatening. However, when a pride of lionesses hunt together, there is power in number. I have seen prides of lions taking down Giraffes, buffalo, hippo and even young elephant. A single lion hunting on her own would most likely not even attempt to try taking on one of these animals on their own (it does happen and has happened but it’s not an everyday or maybe even monthly thing). Lions confidence grows when they are in number as they know they have support.

I wanted to give this analogy to the life of a Jesus following believer, it is vital that you find your pride, that you walk with them and do life with them. You will grow, you will be kept accountable, you will develop skills and gifts. Your ability to operate in the gifts will increase and as you walk with your pride, there will be people who operate in different levels of the gifts, have different gifts which are all important for the body of Christ to move in. I believe as the lions who move in number have a greater ability at taking down larger animals in number, Jesus followers have a greater chance at seeing rulers and principalities being displaced from territories and regions, more people being set free and delivered from strongholds and demons.

As I mentioned earlier there is a double edge to this. The devil is also known as lion prowling and looking to see who he can devour. ( 1 Peter 5:8). When you watch lions hunt, they strategically work together to isolate and separate an animal from a herd, they cause fear, they bring confusion as they set themselves up at different points causing the animals not to know what direction to go, and as they flee frantically it’s usually the weak animals that get picked out or the the ones that get separated from the group (remember – power in number).

The devil wants you to be isolated, so that he can cause fear to rise, disorient you, distract you and separate you from your herd, from your support group. When that happens, you become vulnerable and a target for the enemy to attack.

When you are connected to your pride/ tribe and make a habit of sharing the gospel, teaching, exercising your gift, praying together, encouraging one another, edifying, keeping each other right in the Lord. You grow in discernment, your identity in Jesus grows and you become less attractive to the enemy as far as attacking goes because you now rising into a force to be reckoned with, you know your identity, you don’t fall for the lies as easy now as you used to, your relationship with Holy Spirit is growing and you’re becoming more familiar with His voice than the voice of the enemy – why? because you have been in training, exercising your gifts of the spirit, you are more confident in hearing and knowing when God is speaking to you as you have tasted and seen the goodness of God with your pride/tribe.

There is security and safety in number with others who are maturing in Christ, watchmen seeing danger, prophetic releasing the rhema word, gift of healing and miracles to heal and restore you. Teaching, hearing the word of God being taught in spirit and truth, the apostolic to disciple and teach the way Jesus did.

I hope and trust this blesses you!!

Jesus Is Willing!
